CCBU innaugurates 2008 with great FEIJOADA at BOTECO!

A relaxing backyard atmosphere, meeting with friends, tips of the Miami International Film Festival, drawing of screening tickets, raffle and a delicious "feijoada", contributed to the success of the first CCBU luncheon in 2008.

The Boteco's team, headed by Sandro, set the backyard for our party and approximately 60 people came to enjoy our first event in 2008, organized by our vice-president of events, Maria Inês Dal Borgo with the help of Gloria Johnson, Rosane Wechsler and Yara Cavaignac.

The Managing Director of the Miami International Film Festival, Valeria Sorrentino and Isabel Oswaldo-Cruz, were the special guests. They spoke about the celebrities that will participate this year, the new "red carpet screening sessions", gave tips about the not to be missed films and drawed tickets to various films.

A lively raffle raised funds for CCBU. The raffle included a dental whitening treatment (donated by Dr. Bruno Sharp), art books, cds and dvds, Rio Cristal cachaça.

Two important CCBU partners tasted a feijoada for the first time: Isabel De Quesada, Director of the City of Miami International Council, and Claudio Pastor, Director of Societá Dante Alighieri (Italian Cultural Center).
