 MARIA DO CARMO FULFARO
Como gerente de marketing do Broward Center for the Performing Arts, Maria do Carmo é responsável pelo marketing de shows, além de coordenar o projeto “Ponto de Cultura” (o BCFTPA é o único Ponto de Cultura do Sul da Flórida, um projeto do Ministério da Cultura).
Maria do Carmo é jornalista formada em jornalismo pela FIAN, em São Paulo.
Ela foi correspondente internacional da Rede Bandeirantes; diretora executiva da Luqui Television, em Miami e produtora de eventos com sua companhia TV Maker.
Desenvolveu para o Broward Center os projetos especiais: Brazil Night, State to State e Ponto de Cultura. Como membro do conselho da Tigertail Productions, participou da organização dos festivais FLA-BRA. Foi diretora executiva da Galeria Solange Rabello.
Atualmente é membro do Conselho do Press Award e representante da Camara de Comercio Brasil-Estados Unidos da Flórida.
Maria do Carmo é natural de São Paulo, é mãe de Gabrielle e vive em Weston.
As the Broward Center for the Performing Arts’ marketing manager, Maria do Carmo is responsible for the marketing of shows, besides coordinating the “Points of Culture” project (BCFTPA is South Florida’s only Point of Culture, a Ministry of Culture’s project).
Maria do Carmo has a degree in journalism by FIAN, in São Paulo.
She was an international correspondent for the Bandeirantes Network, executive director of Luqui Television, in Miami and events’ producer with her company, TV Maker.
She developed the following special projects for the Broward Center: Brazil Nights, State to State and Point of Culture. As a Tigertail Productions’ Board member she participated in the organization of the FLA-BRA festivals. She was Solange Rabello Gallery’s executive director.
Presently she is a member of the Press Award Board and a Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce’s representative for Broward County.
Maria do Carmo was born in São Paulo, is the mother of Gabrielle and lives in Weston.

 GENE DE SOUZA
O produtor musical, especialista em música brasileira, Gene de Souza é diretor da Rhythm Foundation, uma organização sem fins lucrativos, que desde 1988 traz para Miami o melhor da “world music”. Ele também é o criador, produtor e apresentador do programa de radio do programa Café Brasil, um programa de música brasileira, apresentado em inglês, todos os domingos das 18 às 20h. na 88.9 FM. Gene tem colaborado nos programas do CCBU, apresentando palestras sobre música brasileira. Natural do Rio de Janeiro, Gene é
casado e vive em Miami.
The music producer and Brazilian music expert, Gene de Souza is the director of Rhythm Foundation, a non-profit organization that, since 1988 brings to Miami the best of “world music”. He is also the creator, producer and presenter of “Café Brazil” a radio program that presents the best of Brazilian music, in English, every Sunday, from 6 to 8 p.m. on 88.9FM. Gene has been a longtime collaborator to the CCBU, lecturing about Brazilian music. Born in Rio de Janeiro, Gene lives in Miami with his wife Vanessa.

In this program, besides helping CCBU funds its cultural programs, the donor will have his/ her portrait painted by Brazilian fine artist Daniel Azulay.
Our first donor is Paola Matarazzo Callahan. We hope to attract enough donors to be able to organize a portraits’
show by the end of the year. |

“Faça uma doação e vire uma obra de arte” foi a campanha de levantamento de fundos lançada na celebração de 11 anos do CCBU. Neste programa, em troca de uma doação ao Centro Cultural Brasil-USA da Flórida, o artista Daniel Azulay criará um retrato do(a) doador(a). Esperamos atrair um número de doadores suficiente para organizar uma exibição dos retratos dos doadores, no final do ano. |
